The oil filter 25-30-40 FM is a vessel of vertical type with a mesh filter inside. In the upper part of the body filtra elliptical flange has a removable cover for access to internal elements. On the filter housing FM 25-30-40 arranged pipes the inlet and outlet of fuel oil, as well as the outlet nozzle of the condensate. At the bottom of the vessel hull is welded ellipsoidal head with nozzle for oporozhnenija filter housing and the inlet nozzle purge steam and the support.

The inside of the filter FM 25-30-40 has a removable filter element that consists of a frame with stretched it to a mesh stainless steel 12KH18N9T in accordance with GOST 3826-82, the ends of which are sewn together with wire and fastened with the help of soldering.

Fuel oil is supplied through the top inlet to the filter. Passing through the filter mesh, it is filtered from the solids and exits purified through the lower pipe of the housing.
